Effective exercises to ease you back into fitness after pregnancy
I’ve just taken part in the Mamafit Mother & Baby course and would highly recommend it.
Rob is really knowledgeable and provides you with safe and effective exercises to ease you back into fitness after pregnancy along with healthy eating advice.
It was great to get weekly emails after each session covering the exercises shown in class.
You can also take your little ones along meaning classes are accessible for all Mums without having to find childcare.
I’m looking forward to attending more sessions in future.

It can be daunting going somewhere new, especially if you don’t know anyone, there are a couple of things you can do that might help you feel less anxious about it. You can join the Mums SOCIAL Facebook group, our group chat or post on our forum, here you can get to know some of the other mums before meeting them face to face.
You can also get in touch with us before you come to your walk, we’ll make sure to introduce you to the other mums – they’re all very friendly and welcoming.
We don’t have a timetable on our walks, if we need to stop at any point so someone can provide care for their baby then we do!
Wear something comfortable for a walk in the park, we recommend a few layers in case it gets a bit chilly or you start to get warm as you up your step count, and of course comfy supportive footwear.
As the weather can be unpredictable it’s usually a good idea to have a rain cover with you too.
Not at all! We walk at a pretty gentle pace. Some of the locations we walk at have inclines but there’s no really challenging terrain, we adjust the pace so everyone can keep up comfortably and can stop for a rest during or after the walk.
Our meet ups are all about mums connecting with other mums in similar situations, to allow this to happen as naturally as possible we make our sessions as welcoming and as ‘unstructured’ as possible, whether ‘in person’ or online.
At our Walk & Talk buggy meetups we take a steady walk around the park, encouraging chat and sparking conversation between mums before stopping for a hot drink, a picnic or a talk, proving further opportunities to socialise and speak with other mums.
During our Text Chat meetups our Mums SOCIAL leaders will be live on the group chat, starting conversations, talking to mums and available to answer any questions.
The Text Chat group supports our ‘in person’ activities offering a virtual way to get to know other mums in the local area a bit more, once you join our text chat group you can access the group 24/7, perfect if you are up in the early hours and need someone to talk to!
Anything you like! If you have something on your mind, want to vent, ask for advice or seek reassurance you will always find a listening ear at Mums SOCIAL.
Of course, that’s what Mums SOCIAL is all about!
Our Mums SOCIAL activities are specifically designed for mums who are feeling lonely, isolated and looking for support and friendship.
Our friendly session leaders will welcome you and introduce you to other mums, making you feel comfortable and at home from your very first session.
Yes! You are very welcome to bring your toddler or preschooler along with you, and during school holidays older children are also welcome at our walks
Attending Mums SOCIAL will help you meet other mums in your local area; allowing you to chat to others in similar situations, find support, give advice and build lasting friendships, which can help you feel more connected to your local community, less alone and happier.
Forming new friendships and connecting with others is proven to boost your sense of wellbeing and improve your mental health.
If the weather conditions are unsafe or dangerous, we may adapt the route or cancel the session.
We will get in contact to let you know about any cancelled activities, but otherwise the walks will run as scheduled.
Please make sure you have suitable clothing/rain cover/sun cream for the conditions.
That’s fine. We know how unpredictable life can be when small people are involved! We usually stick around at the meeting point for 10-15 minutes before we set off, and if you need to leave early for an appointment, to meet a friend, catch the bus or any other reason it’s not a problem.
Walks vary depending on location, weather and mums in attendance. We are mum led so you will be able have a say on how the sessions are run; on days when you are feeling active, we can walk for longer, on days when the weather isn’t so great, we might head for a post walk coffee & chat sooner rather than later!
All walks are taken at your own pace, whether you fancy a steady stroll or a quicker walk.
There is no age limit for the Mums SOCIAL meet-ups, many of our mums have young babies and are on maternity leave, but we also have lots of mums with older babies and toddlers who come along too.
You can cancel your booking on the website.
