Read Jenny’s story, one of our Mamafit mums reviews. If you want more ‘mums eye views’ then you can find more Mamafit stories on our blog, or you can ask the community directly. I first attended Mamafit 3 years ago when I was pregnant with my first baby, Leo, who is now 2 ½. My second baby Elana is now 6 months old and over the three years I have loved attending indoor, outdoor, and online classes and Mums Social meet-ups around Liverpool and Knowsley. I really wanted to continue exercise during pregnancy but felt nervous to do so by myself. So I decided to join Mamafit at around 12 weeks pregnant. I was nervous to attend my first ‘mum’ class, but Rob and the other mums were so welcoming. I attended pregnancy fitness classes and a pregnancy exercise and lifestyle course which gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to exercise up until around 37 weeks pregnant (the week before I gave birth). I never really had the typical pregnancy aches, pains and tiredness, which Mamafit definitely helped with! I was keen to return to exercise as soon as I felt comfortable after having Leo. I knew Mamafit would be a great way to start. Initially I attended Mum and Baby exercise and lifestyle course at Stoneycroft children’s centre. Then I continued throughout maternity leave with buggy running, HIIT, and indoor mum & baby classes. I love how I could take Leo to classes, as this was the only way for me to find time to exercise. The flexibility to attend different classes each week was a big bonus. It allowed me to plan Mamafit around other commitments. Mamafit helped me not just with exercise, but were a great excuse to get out during maternity leave which I think is so important. It gave me chance to meet, chat and share experiences with other new mums. The first Covid-19 lockdown hit around the time I returned to work. I was able to attend online classes, which were so important for mums at this time. As I had been to buggy running classes, I felt confident and motivated enough to start running again on my own. Alongside attending online classes, I managed to build up to running 10K again. I was planning an organised run which was cancelled, but at least I managed to train! Unfortunately, we were in lockdown again during a lot of my pregnancy with Elana. I managed to attend a few in-person classes at the beginning and end but mainly attended weekly online classes. I would never have chosen to do online classes before, but really enjoyed them and found them just as useful and personal. Although I prefer getting out, I still try to attend online classes when I am short for time. I have attended HIIT, circuits and mum and baby classes as often as I can around mine and Elana’s busy schedule. I am proud to have recently completed my first organised 10K run since before my first pregnancy. Just 20 weeks after Elana was born I ran the Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll 10k! I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the support Mamafit provided. Mamafit helped me workout and stay fit during my pregnancies and while on maternity leave.

Baby number 2, I had no doubt that I would return to Mamafit!
I am now on maternity leave again and had no doubt that I would return to Mamafit. I love attending weekly mums social walks in addition to the fitness classes. It’s a great excuse to get out of the house and I’ve met so many lovely mums.I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the support Mamafit provided
I have had so many positive experiences from attending Mamafit. All the class leaders are so friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Mamafit to anyone thinking about signing up!
Thank you
Jenny 😀
