Jen's Bio
Hi, I’m Jen and I live in St Helens with my husband and two children, James and Daphne.
I have a degree in physics with astrophysics and used to work in science education until an unexpected opportunity presented itself when I was pregnant with my daughter and I took the leap into stay at home motherhood.
Being a full time ‘stay at home’ mum for an extended period had a big impact on my interests and aspirations, so when I heard about the MumsSOCIAL project I was excited to be involved.
MumsSOCIAL is all about bringing mums together, it’s an opportunity to get out and about, meet other local mums, create your own support networks in the community and a place to share the trials, tribulations and triumphs of motherhood.
Our relaxed, inclusive meet-ups are a great way to meet new people and find out what’s going on nearby, help you make new friends and grow your self-confidence.
I have a confidential listening ear, first-hand experience of being a mum and extensive knowledge and insight into breastfeeding, both personally with two very different feeding experiences and as a breastfeeding peer supporter, spending six years volunteering at a weekly community feeding clinic, so I’m happy to help with any feeding queries as well.
I hope you’ll come and join us at one (or more!) of our groups, I can’t wait to meet you all!
